$1.5 million awarded to agencies in King County
Pacific Hospital Preservation & Development Authority (Pacific Hospital PDA) announces the award of nearly $1.5 million to 12 community agencies in King County to improve health care access and outcomes.
In the past 10 years, the Pacific Hospital PDA has provided more than $10 million in funding for projects and programs for low-income uninsured individuals. In January 2014, 74 agencies submitted letters of intent through a competitive grant process. In February 2014, 23 agencies were invited to submit a formal grant request. In May, 12 agencies learned that they were awarded grants.
"We're excited by the innovative ideas proposed," said Jeff Natter, Pacific Hospital PDA Executive Director. "We're especially pleased by the diversity of the communities who will be served. Even with the advent of the Affordable Care Act, there are still many people who fall through the cracks and many services that won't be covered. These grants will help address those issues."
The following agencies were awarded grants for the contract year of July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.
