NIMBLE GRANTS

Mixed Race Man Sitting

Short-term projects: research, pilot, and capacity-building

Apply for up to $30,000 per Nimble Grant cycle. There are two Nimble Grant cycles in 2024. Funding can be used for short-term projects, infrastructure/capacity development, planning, technology improvement, training, or policy and advocacy work.

Agencies may submit applications for a Nimble Grant at any time. Nimble Grants are for a maximum of one year and cannot be renewed.

Funding Principles

Projects funded under Nimble Grants should adhere to the following fundamental principles, ensuring that funds are allocated to projects that adhere to PHPDA’s mission and goals:

How to Apply

A total of $400,000 is available in funding for the 2024 calendar year and agencies can apply for up to $30,000 per Nimble Grant cycle. PHPDA will announce grant awards based on a timeline. We encourage all applicants to contact PHPDA prior to applying with questions or to discuss how your application can best fit our criteria.

Eligibility

Nonprofit, government, and public organizations may apply. If you do not have nonprofit status, you may be eligible to apply under a fiscal sponsor.

Funding for service delivery is limited to King County. There are no geographic restrictions on the residence of clients served or advocacy efforts, as long as the program can demonstrate the use of funds addressing disparities in health among residents of the Puget Sound region (King, Snohomish, Pierce, and Kitsap counties).

Organizations may not receive two PHPDA grants in the same year for the same project and cannot receive two Nimble Grants for the same project. If a program is currently funded by the PHPDA, Nimble Grants cannot be used to augment that funding. If a program has already received Nimble funding in the past, that same program is not eligible for additional funding. Agencies may request Nimble Funds under a different project.
