  • Pacific Hospital PDA Invests in the Beacon Hill Neighborhood

    PHPDA donated to the Seattle Works Park Clean Up Day in May 2013. Volunteers clocked 712 volunteer hours at the Jose Rizal dog park, across the street from Pacific Tower.

  • Surrounded by City Parks

    On Beacon Hill in Seattle, the neighborhood has come together to build an urban food forest on seven acres of public land to grow their own organic food. The video, created by Interchange Media, was shown at the United Nations Sustainable Development Conference in June 2012.

    The Beacon Food Forest held its first ‘Ground Making’ day on September 29, 2012. Volunteers planted the first plum trees and shrubs for the future food forest site.

    Lewis Park, Jose Rizal Park and Daejon Park nearby

    Daejon Park (shown above) has large green areas and a Korean-style shelter. Lewis Park is immediately east of the tower and campus. It is being restored by Friends of Lewis Park and managed by the Green Seattle Partnership. Jose Rizal Park is located on the west side and has an off-leash area, picnic tables and a small play area for children.

  • Connects with Mountains to Sound Trail System

    Walkers, cyclists and runners enjoy a paved trail connecting nearby Dr. Jose Rizal Park with Seattle’s SODO area as part of the Mountains to Sound Greenway trail system.

    The Sound Transit Beacon Hill station, located less than 1.5 miles from the Pacific Hospital property, offers both bus and link light rail connections.
