Posted in Projects / Mon, January 30, 2017

Grantee: Seattle University

Timeframe:   January 2017-December 2017   |   Amount:   $25,000

Seattle University College of Nursing (SUCON) with the clinical oversight of Seattle-King County Department of Public Health (PHSKC) will operate a foot clinic for the homeless population in Seattle. The project will offer free foot care at St. Francis House during two, four-hour sessions a month. The foot clinic offers a cost effective means for providing expanded care through nursing students needing clinical practice hours for their degree. The project will provide more access to care for the homeless and help to link and coordinate care among existing services, while training nurses in providing health care to people living in poverty.
