Essex Community Outreach Corporation is the fiscal sponsor for Urban Games. The project will be implemented by and for Urban Games. The mission of Urban Games is to reduce the prevalence of childhood obesity and promote other health/wellness outcomes that disproportionately impact marginalized youth and their families in local communities and more broadly across the nation.

Outreach to Reduce Health Disparities for Low-Income Expectant Families

Parent Trust for Washington Children will conduct community outreach to assist low-income families in registering and completing Great Starts classes in prenatal care, birthing, breastfeeding, and baby care/safety to improve outcomes for healthy births, protective factors, and family resiliency.

School Food Advocacy Program Expansion

FEEST will expand the health equity and nutrition education work to reach 40-50% more youth and extend the depth of impact within South King County schools in 2018/2019. Youth Leaders and Highline School District Nutrition Services Director together will learn about and address issues with school food from a youth/consumer perspective.
